So here's another deviation of one of my latest costumes - Shiemi Moriyama from Ao no Exorcist.

I know the costume doesn't look difficult, but it was one of the hardest ones I ever made.
Sewing the kimono was easy, the obi was easy too, but dying and painting the fabric was a pain. Especially when you're not good at drawing. And I'm not good at drawing at all.
Painting all the butterflies onto the fabric took me about a week, but it was definitely worth it. I like the way the whole costume turned out. : )
Everything looks nice and neat and it's really comfortable to wear.

I will wear this costume again in November. Until then I have to look for another wig which looks more Shiemi-like.

But i have to ask, is the kimono in two pieces?

Thank you. :) I'm glad you like it.
The kimono itself is made out of one piece. I'm not wearing a second kimono underneath though. Instead I added a piece of fabric to the collar and the sleeves. The obi is made out of two pieces.
