Have some more Miss Martian! :3
This is one of the pictures we took during our Young Justice shooting back in March/April 2011. I'm so happy Boa edited them. They turned out amazingly!
On the other hand these pictures show me how many aspects of this costume I have to revise. I should definitely get some white and red spandex and remake the dress as soon as possible. I also need proper shoes for this costume. It would be nice to finally wear this costume at a convention...

➡ The body paint I used is called Eulenspiegel Schminkfarbe. It's the product of a German brand. Unfortunately it is difficult to purchase it outside the country. For further information about the make-up please take a look at my F.A.Q.s on LiveJournal!

You make such a gorgeous Miss Martian! This is easily the best picture I've seen of her being cosplayed, with a super pose and expression plus excellent lighting. In fact, it's one of the best cosplay pics I've seen of any character. The green make-up looks really good too. 'Eulenspiegel Schminkfarbe'? That really rolls off the tongue huh? With a name that long it better be good. Ausgetzeichnet.

I guess that's a wig you're wearing but I'd love to imagine it's real. It looks great from here and I think you look just beautiful with the cute freckles 'n all. I know you haven't got the boots here but I like the shoes a lot - perfect colour - and the skirt looks just right. How come you used green tights instead of the paint? They look great, but I was just curious. Maybe it's the cost of the paint?

Oh… sorry my comment has got so long, but I think I fell a little in love when I saw this picture - I hope that's ok. It's the loveliest I've seen all day and you're like a Martian dreamgirl come true *sigh*. Just fabulous. I'll favourite this, and then check out more of your pics. Thanks a lot for this one though, it's wonderful.

Hey!! Thank you so much for your elaborate comment! I'm really, really happy you like my costume.
The body paint I used is actually rather cheap and nothing special. The German name makes it sound professional, but that's all. Haha. I used tights instead of paint, because it takes quite a while to make the paint look even and nice. Paiting face and hands only takes about 1 hour, painting one's neck and arms takes another 30 minutes - so I guess you can imagine how much time it would take to paint one's legs. That's why I decided to go for tights.
And once again - thank you very much. I hardly ever receive feedback like this. People who are willing to take their time to write down their thoughts are very rare these days. I really appreciate it! <3

What a lovely reply - thanks! I was really glad to receive one at last. I was a bit worried that I wrote too much and scared you or something, ha ha. Well, I guess I need to be more patient for replies next time! I left a few other comments too; I don't know if you saw them. And now I've heard back from you, I'll certainly leave some more! Anyway, glad you liked the long comment. I could've written plenty more on this picture. With such a lovely Miss Martian captured so well, it was quite hard to limit myself to just a few remarks. I was going to ask whether you do all the body painting yourself or get a friend to help, but from your reply it sounds like you do it all yourself. Terrific work; it really does look smooth and even, which I think is part of why it looks so good and believeable. Is it applied by brush? Or sponge maybe? As for the green tights instead of paint, they're nice and perhaps Miss Martian wears them too sometimes, who knows? So perhaps they don't even need to be seen as imitating green skin - though they do a pretty good job of that too. Did you shoot any more poses on the stairs here? I'd love to see them if there are any. Especially any which are full-length like this. Also, do you have any plans to do a new set of Miss Martian pics soon? Please say yes!
